Twitter Batman Arkham AsylumWho would have thought there were Quentin Tarantino fans working in comics? Surprisingly enough, "Inglourious Basterds" pops up in more than one writer's tweets this morning in the Twitter Report. "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "District 9" were right behind Tarantino in recent entertainment topics, but to find out which Bat-universe writer is already playing through the game in her head, I definitely recommend a thorough reading of today's report.

The Twitter Report would also like to wish comics-writing marathoner and monolithic industry personality Brian Michael Bendis a happy birthday today, even though his peers on Twitter have already beat me to it many times over.

To check out what they had to say, as well as Neil Gaiman's "Metamorpho" theme song, check out the Twitter Report for August 18, 2009.

@swierczy God, I love the smell of a new Quentin Tarantino soundtrack in the morning.
-Duane Swierczynski, Writer ("Cable," "Iron Fist")

@mrtonylee @joekeatinge - Wait until you hear a Nazi yell 'BINGO!' The ENTIRE FILM is filled with MOMENTS OF AWESOME JUST LIKE THAT.
-Tony Lee, Writer ("Doctor Who," "The Gloom")

@GailSimone Not content to wait like the rest of you plebes, I am playing an imaginary game of Arkham Asylum in my head. Wow, that's a chubby Batman!
-Gail Simone, Writer ("Birds of Prey," "Wonder Woman")

@BrianReed Today is the day @brianmbendis was evicted from the womb. Wish him a happy birthday, won't you?
-Brian Reed, Writer ("Ms. Marvel," "Secret Invasion: Front Line")

@Remender Wish ol' @BRIANMBENDIS a happy birthday!
-Rick Remender, Writer ("Punisher," "Fear Agents")

@neilhimself If you're reading Metamorpho in Wednesday Comics, he had a theme song. It's not the Batman theme. Or, y'know, good: http://bit.ly/3Djkif
-Neil Gaiman, Writer ("The Sandman," "Miracleman")

@tonymoore District 9's lightning gun that explodes people into goo is brilliant and never loses its shine. kicking myself for not having thought of it
-Tony Moore, Artist ("The Walking Dead," "Fear Agent")

@bclaymoore Mad Men makes me want to get in shape. It would be nice to look good in a suit again.
-B. Clay Moore, Writer ("Hawaiian Dick," "Superman Confidential")

Parting Wisdom for the Day:

@christinastrain @mikechoi No one wins at a high school reunion. People whose high point was high school tend to have babies and use them to top show ups.
-Christina Strain, Colorist ("Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane," "Runaways")
